About me
I am an ecologist with long and extensive experience of managing a broad variety of projects, from survey through to reporting and presentation of evidence at inquiry.
Prior to setting up on my own, I worked as a principal consultant at Bioscan, an environmental consultancy specialising in applied ecology, having joined them in 2003.
A full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), I am adept at efficient co-ordination of large-scale projects requiring multi-disciplinary survey teams and substantial reporting outputs such as EIA and HRA.
My Services
With a high degree of familiarity with the planning and legal framework related to ecology, I’m well placed to provide valuable strategic advice at pre-purchase, application and post-application stages.
My services include Phase 1 and Phase 2 habitat surveys; detailed protected species surveys including great crested newts, bats, badgers, dormouse, reptiles, water voles, otters and crayfish; project management; impact assessment and reporting; and the design and implementation of mitigation schemes.
Get in touch via the contact form below, or get in touch directly by email or telephone, and we can discuss your project.
Fully Licenced
My particular areas of technical expertise include habitat and protected species surveys and licensing, in particular related to bats, badgers and great crested newts for which I hold both survey and development/mitigation licences. I am also registered to use the low impact class licence for bats which offers a streamlined route to securing derogation for the more commonly encountered bat species and their roosts.
